Hat sizing may vary slightly.  We offer 2 sizes in our snap-back hats. Standard will fit like a regular hat out of the box up to a 7-3/8" comfortably and through wear will fit up to a 7-1/2" with an average of 3 snaps secured. XL out of the box will comfortably fit 7-1/2" to 7-3/4" with an average of 3-4 snaps secured. After the initial "break-in period" do not be surprised to gain another snap or two. The general body of the hat in the "XL" size is slightly larger than the body of the "Standard" size. We did not simply expand the hat band circumference when creating multiple size options. The hat crown will also sit slightly taller for added room on the "XL" size.
